The safety of children in scooter or bike riding should be a constant Priority.

Here are some very important points:

Why should children wear a helmet when riding Scooter / Bike ?

A properly fitted helmet prevents the head from absorbing the force of the impact of an accident or a fall, which can reduce the risk of serious head injury and brain injury by up to 85%. This means that four out of five brain injuries could be avoided if every child riding a Scooter / Bike was wearing a helmet.

What type of helmet should be used for Scooter / Bike riding?

Bicycle helmets are recommended for Scooters because this activity is similar to cycling and rollerblading. No standards for helmets aimed specifically at scooter users have been adopted.

What helmet standards are in effect?

Helmets sold in Canada are certified by the CSA (Canadian Standards Association), the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Snell, or the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).

The helmet is one of the essential elements of the practice of the Scooter / Bike.

Do not take the safety of your children lightly.
