Urban Scooter !

Sit in the cafe, enjoy the sun, watch the street, the traffic, the city in motion. And you'll see what you've never seen before: Scooters, rollerblades, skateboards. So many means of transport discreet in the city and invisible in the official statistics.

Scooter is absent from urban mobility surveys. In town, the vision of an adult on a scooter is rare. However, it is inevitable: The Scooter takes its place as a means of urban travel.

The "active modes", these means of individual displacement driven by the human body, are limited to walking and cycling. And yet, when we take a little attention, we notice in the global flow of traffic these modes of transport, or rather acceleration, which previously went unnoticed. Among the Trottineurs, we observe many children : girls and boys who kick to come back to school but, curiously, very few adolescents. And from time to time an adult.

In Scooter, we move on average 2 to 3 times faster than walking in the city center. There is an average speed of about 12 to 20 km / h. Faster than a car in rush hour, you can move nimbly and avoid traffic jams and especially not waste time parking. Wearing a helmet is recommended on a scooter.
